One-Hour Daytime Talk Show to Use Blausen Human Atlas Content

Houston, November 4, 2008 --- Blausen Medical Communications has licensed its Blausen Human Atlas animations and illustrations library to THE DOCTORS, the #1 new, one-hour syndicated daytime talk show from the creative team behind the long-running hit series DR. PHIL.

Produced by Stage 29 Productions and distributed by CBS Television Distribution, THE DOCTORS provides viewers a source of reliable and fascinating medical and health advice, dispensed daily by a distinguished panel of “on-call” professionals.

Under this deal, THE DOCTORS will feature wide-ranging content in the Blausen Human Atlas animations and illustrations library on the shows. With over 275 topics ranging from “what is asthma?” to “how do x-rays work?”, the Blausen material will help provide impactful and understandable scientific visualization of the specific topics discussed by the regular team of four doctors hosting the show.

Bruce Blausen, Founder and CEO of Houston-based Blausen said, “We consider CBS and THE DOCTORS use of our content to be an exciting and innovative approach to engaging and educating consumers about medical and healthcare subjects. It goes to show the presentation and discussion of sometimes highly complex concepts can be enhanced by the right demonstration of the physical properties involved. I would think viewers will find the program highly engaging.”

Taped in front of a live audience in Hollywood and airing five days a week, THE DOCTORS discusses what people need to know to live their best lives. It premiered nationwide in September 2008 (Check local listings for station and time).
