Blausen Medical Adds Intraoperative Radiation Therapy (IORT) to World's Largest Library of 3D Medical Animations

Houston, July 1, 2010 --- Blausen Medical, developer and owner of the world's largest library of medical animations, has added new Topic 287, Intraoperative Radiation Therapy (IORT), to its continually growing library of 3D medical animations. In addition to being added to the Blausen Human Atlas, the new topic also will be added to the Blausen Cancer Atlas (increasing its total animations to 52). Intraoperative Radiation Therapy (IORT) is a new cancer treatment in which a mobile linear accelerator uses electron beam radiation to directly treat a tumor bed immediately after the tumor is removed. As in all Blausen atlases, and in addition to its 3D animation videos, the new topic content will include rotating models, labeled slides, and printable text.
