Blausen Medical Captures Record Six Major Communication Awards in 2011; Anticipates More Success in 2012

Three Web Health Awards, Two eHealth Leadership Awards and an ABBY win reflect continuing recognition of Blausen content, web and mobile applications.

Houston, January 20, 2012 --- 2011 was a record-setting year for Blausen Medical Communications, developer and owner of the world’s largest library of 3D medical animations. The Company won six major international medical communications awards, one more than its previous yearly high. The awards included three Web Health Awards, two zeHealth Leadership Awards and the prestigious ABBY Award.

The annual Web Health Awards program recognizes the nation's best digital health communication resources and providers. Blausen Human Atlas iPad and iPhone apps were recognized among more than 500 entries and judged by a panel of distinguished experts in digital health media.

The eHealthcare Leadership Awards program reviews the very best websites of healthcare organizations (both large and small), online health companies, pharmaceutical/medical equipment firms, suppliers and business improvement initiatives. The Blausen awards recognized the Company’s excellence in both web use and mobile communication apps.

The Adaptive Business Leaders (ABL) Organization recognized Blausen Medical and its Human Atlas iPhone and iPad apps, as one of only four international winners of the Organization's 2011 ABBY Awards. The ABBY’s honor companies which have developed ways to lower the cost of providing quality healthcare through medical or information technologies, or innovative approaches to the delivery of healthcare.
